Effect on channel system | |
The presence of EUO-chain connections creates a 10-ring channel along the [100] direction. In Polymorph NON (direct connections only), there is no channel system (only cages). In Polymorph EUO (alternating direct and EUO-chain connections) there is a 1-dimensional channel system with side pockets along [100]. In Polymorph NES (only EUO-chain connections), there is a 2-dimensional channel system perpendicular to [010]. All [hkl] directions given here refer to the coordinate system shown on the right. |
